Still i rise
by

It’s a long ride in a short time
She attacked me in my prime
When I should be celebrated
I was set up and humiliated
I was carefree thinking she’s harmless
Only to fall in a pit that is bottomless
She desired to forcefully have her way
Using even emotional blackmail to slay
All I could see was a dead end
But God saved the day & gave me friends
Devil had pinned me, trying to make me his own
Until I presented my evidences and won
Though shattered by her lies, still I rise
Wrestled against principalities, still I rise
Is not just a physical war, Still I rise
The righteous may fall, still I rise
Been through spiritual bankruptcy, still I rise
Experienced emotional downturn, still I rise
Tell the devil he has tried, but still I rise
Don’t go down looking for me, because still I rise
